Mission Creek Harbor has a long history of environmental restoration and of maintaining its shoreline as a community park for the public benefit.

Huffaker Park is an approximately one acre public park along Mission Creek's shoreline, featuring decomposed granite pathways, open lawn areas and picnic tables. It has a relaxed feel among the flowering plants and trees, including many native plantings. A variety of birds forage and nest in the park and herons, cormorants, bat rays, fish and sea lions can be seen in the creek.

The Mission Creek Conservancy is a public benefit 501(c)(3) corporation, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the tidal community at Mission Creek.

The Conservancy has been working to preserve and protect Mission Creek for more than 35 years.
